This child injury prevention program which commenced in 2006 has brought awareness to help continue the work on keeping children safe from all forms of unintentional injuries in the home, on the road and in school.
The culminating event was held on June 20 at the Music Hall of the Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay City. SKP’s beneficiary schools presented the advocacy for child safety through the Jingle Singing and the Slogan Contests among students from SKP beneficiary cities with the theme: "Promote, Preserve and Practice INGAT BATA! Continuing safety at home, on the road and in school!"
More than 300 school children, supporters and guests from government, private companies as well as non-government organizations were treated with songs and dances. The children also received tokens from the sponsors. Before the program ended, MDPPA distributed school supplies to the children.
